CLIENT: Ormiston College
VOYAGE NUMBER: 20220916
FROM: Manly to Manly
DATE: 17 September 2022
REPORT BY: Red Watch
Today we travelled from Horseshoe Bay to Tangalooma, guided by our watch leader, Justin. Due to the immense wind strength, the ship was commonly found tilted upwards of 30 degrees. We participated in three competitions: the first knot competition, the reef knot, the second competition; the backstay, and finally to conclude the day, the figure of eight knot.
At Tangalooma, we participated in swimming and ran up and slid down the sand dunes. Everyone is feeling well with no major sicknesses. Red watch was subject to sabotage during the backstay competition by the white watch, causing the red team’s learning of problem-solving skills.
Weather conditions were fine throughout, exceptions being wind. Overall, we learnt a variety of lessons, and had lots of fun winning.
