South Passage Daily Report

CLIENT: General Public Voyage

VOYAGE NUMBER:  20210601

FROM: Airlie Beach to Townsville

DATE: 4 June 2021

POSITION:  Cape Upstart

REPORT BY: Blue Watch

It’s not every day that you get invited to have lamingtons at a remote fishing shack at a place called Moonlight Bay at Cape Upstart. But we did. And even though when we arrived there was not a lamington in sight … there were at least ten varieties of sweet offerings from our lovely hosts. Raymond and Viv set out the table with definitely one of the most gorgeous views I’ve ever seen. A magnificent end to another great day of motor sailing on South Passage up the coast from Cape Gloucester.

Grateful for all the memorable moments on this voyage.

The people … the stories … the learning … the feasting … the fresh air … the sharing … the hoisting … flaking… heaving … sweating … helming and plotting. Not to mention the head cleaning … brass polishing … anchor chain flaking and the laughter …

just

so

much

laughter.

What an awesome trip.
