DATE: 12 August 2019
POSITION: Orpheus Is
REPORT BY: Group E Blue Watch
We had many exciting experiences today, and ate a wide range of delicious foods made by Hugh Crichton the ships fantastic cook. We ferried across from Pelorus Island on a small rubber dinghy manned by the skipper of the South Passage, Bill Fenelon. The South Passage crew have taught us many new skills such as knot tying and taught us more about the different constellations. We watched the beautiful sunset sink off the port of the ship after a long eventful day.
We spent most of our day working hard at pulling in the anchor and learning how to set the sails up. Our group found excitement screaming at the other teams as we passed Orpheus Island. In preparation for the knot tying competition Blue Watch also learnt and versed each other in completing knots as we learnt many different types of knots by our leader Charles.
