South Passage Daily Report

CLIENT: Silver Youth Voyage

VOYAGE NUMBER:  20190930

FROM: Hervey Bay To: Manly

DATE: 1 October 2019

POSITION:  Boonlye Point, Great Sandy Straits

REPORT BY: White Watch

On Tuesday morning, we woke up early to polish the brass, including the wheel and plaques. We also put up the anchor for the first time. Although it was raining quite a bit, it was a fun experience.

We went to Fraser Island using the dinghy and went on a short bush walk to see the Z Force memorial, and explored the beach. Once we got back on the ship, we rested for a bit, and throughout the night, we sang songs with the ukulele!

We had a thick game of cards. Axel won all of the games which was pretty cool. We got a log book and learned about cardinal markers, which is pretty cool. Overall, this day was about a 7.5 out of 10. It could have been better if we sailed more and went swimming but maybe next time aye. Anyway, we’re going to bed so bye.
