0630 Ship’s company woken up.
0700 Continental breakfast while alongside the refuelling wharf at Breakwater Marina, Townsville.
0730 Crew meeting
0745 commence training, each watch were allocated a station and familiarised themselves with the duties.
0900 Captain’s brief, Crew introductions and safety brief by Sail Master.
0930 Cast off. Motored to middle of Townsville Harbour.
0945 Raised sails. Blue watch provided extra manpower to assist with raising the mainsail and the foresail as we sailed towards Florence Bay. Conditions freshened up to 10-15 knots southeast. Decision was made to bypass Florence Bay due to rough conditions and a strong onshore breeze.
1045 Gybed ship and headed into Horseshoe Bay and anchored.
1200 Lunch on board.
1230 -1245 crew ferried ashore to Horseshoe Bay settlement.
1300 – 1600 walk from Horseshoe Bay to the fort on the hill overlooking Horseshoe Bay settlement and return.
1615 -1645 crew ferried to ship.
1715 crew muster.
1800 dinner including birthday cake for Penny.
1800 – 2000 White watch duty.
1830 commence watch routine.
2000 Blue watch commence.
