South Passage Daily Report

CLIENT: Silkwood School

VOYAGE NUMBER:  20190505

FROM: Manly To: Manly

DATE: 7 May 2019

POSITION: Yellow Patch, Cape Moreton

REPORT BY: Red Watch

We went ashore at Tangalooma where we ran up the sand dunes, snorkelled near a shipwreck and got to feed hundreds of fish as well. Whilst we were there we also found a geo box, which happened to be hidden 50 metres behind the sand dunes in a hollow tree.

Once we had thoroughly explored Tangalooma, we headed up the channel on our way to a place called Cape Moreton. On our way we spotted markers, cargo ships, a paraglider and even half a dozen dolphins. As we continued on our way to Cape Moreton, the wave patterns began to change. It went from calm and mild conditions to rocky and windy conditions, along with much bigger swell. These changes happened because we were almost in the open ocean.
