We started our day 0400 and began our watch, during this time we watched the sunrise over Stradbroke Island. During our 0400 to 0800 watch the rest of the boat was roused by a horrific bugle at 0630 by Dale. We then ate breakfast and competed in a knot tying and vang competition, both of which we lost. Afterwards, we prepared to set sail by hauling the foresails, jib and the staysail. The rest of the day was spent sailing to Tangalooma.
When we arrived, we enjoyed a lovely snorkel through the ship wrecks surrounding the Island. We spotted various sea life; such as fish, sting rays and turtles. We retired to the boat to enjoy a dinner of bangers and mash, amongst the sunset. Overall, we had a productive, effective and memorable day. Happy Birthday Cath!
