South Passage Daily Report

CLIENT: Emerald Christian College

VOYAGE NUMBER:  20190527

FROM: Rosslyn Bay To: Airlie Beach

DATE: 30 May 2019

POSITION: Whitehaven Beach

REPORT BY: Blue Watch

In the morning, we had a knot competition featuring the clove hitch knot, which was won by the Red Watch. After breakfast, those who chose to went for a swim on the starboard side of the vessel. Then we had a backstay competition between the watches in which our team (Blue Watch) won.

We then prepared the sails and set course from Middle Percy Island to the Whitsundays. On our voyage we saw dolphins, a batfish and a dead fish. It was very chill sailing with low Knot winds, and only one gybe.

We ended the voyage with a beautiful sunset over the islands of the Whitsundays as we lowered the sails and let down the anchor. We had a second knot competition for the sheet bend that Blue Watch one.
