South Passage Daily Report

CLIENT: Biloela SHS

VOYAGE NUMBER: 20170822

FROM: Rosslyn Bay TO: Bundaberg

DATE: 22 August 2017

POSITION: Great Keppel Is

Report by: Blue Watch

The students boarded South Passage mid-afternoon and after stowing gear and the usual introduction and safety briefing, South Passage motored out to Great Keppel Island for the night’s anchorage

Daily Report:

It was difficult to find the boat at the start but Nigel helped us on our way. Once reaching the boat, we learnt about safety and boat procedures after welcoming us onto the South Passage. We learnt how to tie a round turn half hitch knot as a strategy to use whilst aboard the boat. We all got a chance to steer the boat. We later had steak and vegies for dinner which was fantastic if we do say so ourselves. After dinner we got the opportunity to sit up on deck and chilled out which was interesting as the sunset was majestic. We ended our night with a quick game of Uno and our first anchor watch.
