Today, we set sail at 0900 for our first day, there was minimal wind making the day slow. We learnt how to tie some knots, raise and lower the sails, navigation, how to steer the ship and general procedures. We went onto the shore and spent time in the dunes and the water. We came back in the dingy and had a knot tying competition. We spent the day reinforcing the connections and friendships with the people on board. Thankfully, no one got seasick and everyone is feeling great after a lovely supper!
