VOYAGE NUMBER:  20260922

FROM: Manly To: Hervey Bay

POSITION: Moonboom Is

DATE: 23 September 2026

REPORT: Red Watch

We woke up at 3 in the morning. We prepared the main, fore and jib sails to be ready for hoisting. At around 4 everyone else was woken up to hoist the fore and the jib. The reason for the early start was so we could make it to the bar between Fraser Island and Inskip point during high tide.

Lots of people were fast asleep during the morning but by lunch everyone was up and feeling better. We saw lots of whales and dolphins. The sail hoists were very smooth and well done. Adam did a wonderous job as our boson. The knots practiced were the reef knot and the figure 8. We are now anchored beside Fraser Island and very excited since tomorrow morning won’t be so early.
