When we first got on the ship we put our beds into our sleeping quarters. After we got a safety briefing and sat up the sails. We were sorted into our groups then and was made up of 5 people total. We rotated doing different duties around the ship including watching the water, steering the ship, and doing up the sails.
When we drove up near Fraser Island when put the anchor down and went for a swim near Makenzie’s Jetty off the edge of Fraser Island. After swimming for a while we played games on the beach then drove back to the sailboat in the dingy.
We then rinsed off and had butter chicken whilst doing our watch’s and had sticky date pudding and custard for dessert. Overall it was a great day, learning new things and experiencing being on a boat.
