FROM: Cairns To: Cairns

POSITION: Trinity Inlet Cairns

DATE: 23 June 2026

REPORT: Red Watch

Last night we had a rough night with lots of rocking and swaying making it hard to sleep. We made our way back to Cairns because there was a sick student. We only docked in the marina for a few minutes while we did our send off and removed some rubbish.

We then learned tactical manoeuvrers like tacking and gybing. Each watch got a chance to show their skills with some lacking in certain areas and needing help. We then sailed back into the Cairns inlet where we anchored for the night. Dinner was amazing as per usual and we finally got the sticky date pudding we were all waiting for. It has been a lovely night with lots of laughter and fun, the best way to spend our last night on South Passage.
