FROM: Cairns To: Cairns

POSITION: Cape Grafton

DATE: 22 June 2026

REPORT: Blue Watch

Yesterday we woke up at Fitzroy and started our voyage, Blue team on the Foresail, to a small reef in the distance, near a sand cay. On the way we got drenched in rain and rocked back and forth. When we reached the reef, the sunshine finally arrived. But we couldn’t swim as it was too deep to get in and out of the boat. We journeyed back and headed for the Cairns Marina, as we had to drop off our sick friend (love you Athena). We slept there for the night and the weather was calm and the water was mostly still. Overall, the day was a tiny bit stressful, but still a fun and enjoyable time.

Today we woke up at the Cairns marina, we then sailed to Fitzroy and participated in snorkelling. We continued voyaging and sailed around the bend of the mainland, there we are set for the night at Cape Grafton. During the sail over, we lifted the main sail and it was pretty windy and rocked constantly. The day overall was exciting and a bit nerve racking but still fun. Ella and Dana
