REPORT: Red Watch
We are all feeling fat and full sitting under a full moon after a delicious beef casserole with frogs legs in it (?). The great figure 8 knot disaster. It was all bloopers and seniors moments when Blue team bombed out to our surprise, and red team took the third win in a row.
Snorkels and flippers got a whirl at Orpheus Island, with blue lipped clams and parrot fish spotted by all, and all the things that want to kill you fortunately weren’t. Actually…. It is notable that a croc was sighted after sun down, but by then, we were fortunately all back on board.
Some walked up to the look-out at Orpheus Island, which was built on a concrete platform used for degaussing military submarines. Roger, not surprisingly spotted a WW2 four slice toaster.
Delicious hamburgers from Angel bay were on the menu for lunch. Well done Cath again for keeping all of our bellies happy. We sailed with all three sails up and the motor OFF! There was also a reef knot challenge early up today, with Red watch taking the prize.
The day was set to be a good one, after Red watch leader Roger got us to raise the sails perfectly today. Red 4 said “he is so skilful”, Red 1 then said “and sooo handsome too”. What adventures will tomorrow bring?
