Today has been an absolute blast. I have learnt new skills, how to tie a fair dinkum, proper bowline and realising that I have been doing it all wrong for the past 40 years. Teamwork is paramount, a fine balance of helping but not getting in the way. During the all hands on deck and mayhem of rapid sail changes and reconfigurations, this is where the South Passage and crew shine. It’s a well-orchestrated team effort, and I mean “team” – everyone has something to do, and if you are unsure the crew will assist. It’s just helping everyone onboard to achieve a common goal.
It was a good day today, I am looking forward to tomorrow…what new skills will I learn? Grant
