VOYAGE NUMBER: 20260512
FROM: Hervey Bay To: Rosslyn Bay
POSITION: Masthead Is
DATE: 12 May 2026
REPORT: Red Watch
We met the crew and boarded “South Passage” in Hervey Bay, cast off the lines and set sail for Pancake Creek. We raised the sails with some anxiety and trepedation for the journey ahead.
As we headed further north out of the bay, the ocean swell grew bigger and sea sickness took hold of most of red, white, and blue watch. Two of the girls from red watch were having the time of their lives playing and screaming in the waves as the crash onto the side of the south passage.
We kept sailing into the night had dinner most of red watch went to sleep as the crew sailed till almost 1am and landed in Pancake Creek.
We woke up in Pancake Creek and had breakfast in a calm setting, manually pulled up the anchor and then we set sail for Masthead Island. When we arrived we attached ourselves to a mooring and had a beautiful swim off the side of the ship in crystal blue waters. We’re now preparing for a yummy dessert of apple pie and custard in a very rocky anchorage.
