REPORT: White Watch
White watch had a sleep in where the first watch was not until 8am-10am, meaning everyone had a well-deserved sleep in. We then all were slowly waking up where we had been anchored at Currigee camp, near Labrador on the Gold Coast.
For the day, we had appointed Ella as the boson, where in the first watch we had started to prepare the sails to head into the open ocean through the Gold Coast seaway. We successfully headed into the open water where clear conditions, light wind, and calm waters made the sail calm. Many of us made sure to took sea sickness tablets, but luckily no one was heavily affected.
The second watch of the day for white watch was 3pm-6pm, where we had been already sailing for roughly 6hr. The boat was sailing slower than usual which had us expected to be into Moreton Bay/Tangalooma at roughly 11:30pm. During this watch period, in navigation we used coordinates to create an ETA to what time we would anchor. Furthermore, the watch period was calm and focused on keeping lookout, with a side of wildlife.
