REPORT: Red Watch
We started the day off by having night watches in shifts and learning about navigation. For breakfast we had cereal then toast, scrambled eggs, porridge and baked beans.
After getting ready for the day, we set off from Tangalooma and headed towards Peel Island but ended up hitting rough weather (high wind, rain, mist and rough waves). Because of the weather conditions maintaining smooth sailing and tacking was difficult causing us to have to change our route landing us at St Helena Island.
Once arriving at St Helena, we did a treasure hunt rather than swimming because of the weather conditions. After showers, we participated in the knot tying competition, with red watch winning the bowline knot. For dinner we had sausages, mash and veggies cooked by our lovely cook Louise and cheesecake for dessert. Before heading to bed, we prepared for our night watch shifts.
