We started our day with blue watch and the bugle, playing highly off key in our ears. After a lazy morning of the Dixie one-turn tug-of-war comp, and knot competitions, we set off towards Moreton Island, passing cruise ships, dolphins and technically passing our final destination.
The ship tilted on a full 30 degree angle as we sailed to our final destination. We then took the dingy to Moreton Island, climbing up a 65m sand hill and running/rolling back down, with both Tahj and Riley face planting at the bottom.
After a quick swim, we went back to the ship and jumped off for a bit, before heading below deck for the command day voting. The votes came in as Lewis for skipper, Eden for sailing master, Lucy for navigator, Tilly as white watch leader, Will as red watch leader, and CC as blue watch leader. We finished off our day with Hugh’s delicious cooking, and yarning in the sunset.
