We were all startled awake in the middle of the night when the previous watch (white watch) made a dreadful miscalculation. While off the coast of NSW between Coffs Harbour and Newcastle, the preventer on the sail snapped and caused the boom to swing around violently, making a loud noise and waking us up.
After falling back to sleep, we woke up again at 12am to take over. We sailed through the night— into the early morning to arrive at Broughton Island at around 8am. We dropped the sails and anchored down to spend the morning swimming. The water was crystal clear and cyan, the water was a bit cold at first, but it made a refreshing start to the morning. We all took turn jumping off the ship then swam ashore.
The men were quickly entertained when they found a long dead tree on the shore, they proceeded to heave it into the ocean were they then sat upon it and sailed the tree with a 7-person crew into the ocean. They then sailed back to shore and gathered a small fleet of logs call Her Majesty’s B.B.B navy and they all set sail into the ocean and had a great battle.
Once the battle ceased, we were called aboard to conquer the next island, Fingal Bay. It was a smooth journey, and before long, the land was in sight. One by one, we set ashore. Our findings were endless with the mysterious purple shells scattered across the shore leading us to the final circle of battle.
