REPORT: White Watch
We woke up at 4am because we were still adjusting to Queensland time. Jack professionally played the bugle in a sad attempt to awake us. We then started the day by practicing our knots and had a cold breakfast at 6am followed by a hot breakfast at 7am. We got ready for the day and set sail out of the harbour at 9am. We all worked together within our groups to hoist the sails and work out how to use the various ropes around the ship.
Later on, we moved onto shifts, red starting first, followed by white and blue. Each person got a chance to look out, plot our journey and direct the helm of the ship. The day was concluded at the Tangalooma wrecks at Moreton Island for a quick swim, and a visit to the sand dunes. Highlight of the day was Henry eating sand when running down the dunes. We got back to the ship for dinner (chicken drumsticks and veggies) and finished off with a knot tying competition where we are proud to say White won by a milestone. After dinner we had our dessert and the groups continued their watches for the remainder of the night.
