We started the morning at 5:30 in the harbour with the weather being overcast. We then had cold breakfast followed by a hot breakfast. After eating an amazing breakfast, we got shown the basics of the ship before raising the sails for the first time. With the sails up, we made our way out of the harbour and began the journey towards Tangalooma.
The marine life was out and about with people seeing turtles and dolphins. On the six / seven hour voyage all of us got a turn at sailing the ship. Many of us also enjoyed relaxing, or sleeping, in the net off the front of the boat whilst waiting for our turn at watch.
Once we arrived at Tangalooma we went for a swim with Travis and Chase discovering many things as they snorkelled. Many boys climbed the sand dune with Travis, Hudson and Chase hilariously faceplanting on the way down. With everyone safely back on board we finished our sailing activities with a knot tying competition. We ended the day with an amazing dinner and dessert as we all reminisced the incredible adventures we’ve had so far.
