CLIENT: Our Lady of the Southern Cross College Dalby
VOYAGE NUMBER: 20251106
FROM: Manly To: Manly
POSITION: Horseshoe Bay, Peel Is
DATE: 7 November 2025
REPORT: Blue Watch
To no one’s fault but our own, we woke before the bugle once again, with our group polishing the wheel ready for the day ahead. We went overboard into the little boat and headed for the stable land, FINALLY! After what felt decades of walking, we finally could see the Big Sandhills.
As we climbed the thought of reaching the top grew distant as the sand just kept on stretching ahead; trust me we didn’t skip legs today! After giving up on walking and sliding down the hills on random boards, we decided it would be a great idea to inhale some sand (which can still be tasted). This was followed closely by cool water to wash off the sweat and sand with dolphins right next to us.
After our small dose of land, we smelt the burgers calling us back. Setting sail, we were met by minimal wind making for very slow going. Our expected 3 o’clock anchoring turned into an 8 o’clock one, but we all survived and everything is going well. Hannah, Keira, Molly, Ken, Nate
