Our day had an early start at 12am till 4am for anchor watch. There was a large motor yacht lit up like city lights. The water glimmered reflecting the glowing moon, presenting a dugong like the climax of a movie on the big screen. The stars mapped out the sky, as we crept across the deck like quiet mice. We pressed the compass to our sweaty cheek, our eyes towards the bearings in the compass, to locate the landmarks on our horizon. Concluding our watch with a biscuit and cheeky hot choccy’s as we filled the logbook of the night.
We were woken with the smell of Lou’s big breakfast!! And a bugle solo ringing through the cabin. Then we made our way on deck to compete in the knot competition, which left our team in a sorrowful position. We were in charge of the mainsail today, a difficult task in which we succeeded greatly and where sweating became our specialty! Communicating and sailing through today’s greatnesses, dropping sails and discovering dolphins and many sea animals. Swimming at Peel Is., amongst a variety of creatures. Raising the sails for a second time and flying down the coast, to finally arrive to our resting place for the night, with a hot plate of bangers and mash, finishing it off with a fruity cheesecake.
