REPORT: White Watch
We woke up with cold breakfast, then hot which was delicious. We did a safety brief and learned to belay and prepare the sails to raise the main sail. Issy was unwell before we left but she handled it like a pro. We left the harbour around 9am and whilst heading out port, we lifted the main sail. We then set sail for Moreton Island.
During our watch, we completed four tacks very successfully. We saw some wildlife which included sea turtles, dolphins, jelly fish, birds and a stingray. We reached the proximity of Big Sandhills, Moreton Island, to anchor around 3 pm. We went swimming just off the ship, we tried snorkelling, but we did not see anything. We jumped off the side of the ship many times.
After our swim we had a knot competition and learned a couple more knots. Dinner was served around 6, (chicken) and it was delicious, many went back for seconds.
