CLIENT: Somerset College
VOYAGE NUMBER: 20250914
FROM: Hervey Bay To: Manly
POSITION: Tangalooma
DATE: 17 September 2025
REPORT: White Watch
Today we started off with brekky: bacon and eggs with toast, and in the knot-tying competition we raced to tie a bowline. We headed ashore at Tangalooma near the wrecks and went rolling down the sand dunes. Sami nearly fell into a tree, but Raye stopped her so thank goodness.
Right after we came back, we all jumped off the ship and attempted to but failed to climb to the mermaid on the ship. Back on the ship, we all had intensive sailing lessons learning how to tack, gybe and work as a team. For dinner we had Chinese chicken stir-fry with rice and for dessert we had peaches with cream made by the famous Hugh – oh my goodness me, and inspired by this, we wrote a song inspired by Hugh and our trip. Very good!
