An amazing first day for this passage. Sunshine, whales, dolphins and of course sailing. How does the trip get better? Apparently, it will get with promises of swims, walks and more whales… yes please. Love those whales.
I’m on white watch with a wonderful group including Richard, David, Gayle and led by the amazing tutu clad Libby. Part of the fun today included a bit of painting as we passed Cape Bowling Green then some more culture with a ukelele session (sea shanties to come).
The people really do make the South Passage a unique experience. So much humour… currently discussions on Monty Python are happening as I write this. There are so many little surprises as you experience the day, the sailing, the fun and getting to know each other in these early days of the passage. Look out tomorrow. Heather
