REPORT: White Watch
The morning sunrise was beautiful, with white group up and watching. We then woke everyone up with the bugle at 6:30am. Once everyone was awake, we had our morning knot tying competition. Unfortunately, white team did not win this one, as reef knots are not our strong suit. We cleaned up the bathrooms and got ready to leave and go to the lighthouse at Cape Cleveland.
To get to the lighthouse, we used the tender to transport us to the beach. After we arrived, we had to walk all the way up the hill to get to the lighthouse. While we were up there, we walked around all the houses and enjoyed the view of the ocean. Luckily, we were able to see a whale from the lighthouse, we even saw the whale breach. While we were waiting on the beach, we looked for pretty shells, and there was lots of sea glass and crabs.
Once we got back to the ship, we hauled the sails up and made our way to Radical Bay. At Radical Bay, we had a refreshing swim after pulling the sails down. Then, we pulled the sails up once again and made our way to in between Rattlesnake Island and Herald Island, where we anchored for the night. White team was lucky enough that the red team had already pulled the sails down before our shift, so we didn’t have as much work to do that evening.
