CLIENT: Townsville Flexi School

VOYAGE NUMBER:  20250716

FROM: Townsville To: Townsville

POSITION: Cape Cleveland

DATE: 16 July 2025

REPORT: White Watch

Once the school arrived, we had our groups sorted and were ready to get our bunks organised. There was a slight hiccup, Kaylee and Leila didn’t like their bunk placements, so they decided to switch bunks, then everyone was sorted and ready to set sail. We left the Townsville Marina at 11am, then motored around Magnetic Island to Radical Bay. We then had a swim in the water, and Elijah, Josh, Ben, Nick, and Oliver kissed the mermaid at the front of the ship.

After the swim at 4pm, we put the sails up and went around Cape Cleveland. During that time, we were lucky enough to see a whale in the water, and plenty of photos were snapped. We dropped the sails at around 5:30pm, tidied the ship and had watermelon for afternoon tea.

The amazing white team won the knot competition, as predicted. Our knots were fast and beautiful; no other team could compare. Our watch then noted the coordinates of the lighthouse at Cape Cleveland, Mount Stuart, and Magnetic Island, so that we can be certain that the ship doesn’t move during the night. For dinner we had chicken, rice, and some vegetables, everyone enjoyed it. Then for dessert we had apple pie with custard, which was delicious.
