After a fantastic overnight dinner on board with Marty and Sam from Middle Percy Island, we lifted anchor at about 8.30am. The night was busy with repair work to the Foresail being required due to a tear to the stitching just up from the boom.
Not long after lifting anchor, Capt. Jim activated an emergency person overboard drill. This was completed successfully with the use of a bumper acting as the man overboard.
We then set sail under motor, initially, having completed all the repairs to the foresail. Due to favourable winds, we were able to complete the day without any tacks or gybes. It was an enjoyable sail with the use of motor for approx. 5 hours.
There was no chance of a swim today as we had to make ground from Middle Percy to Scawfell Island. The crew are all in good spirits after having sticky date pudding for dessert after a beautiful bangers and mash. We dropped anchor approx. 7.20pm.
