We started sailing early from Keppel Bay Marina to beat the tide. As we left the harbour, we saw a dolphin and it ate a fish. Most of the day, all but one of the kids were seasick, but most were good by the end. We sailed downwind past Fambrough beach following the coast. During the first few hours, the seam closest to the mast on the foresail tore, so we sailed with the foresail with the first reef in.
We arrived into Pearl Bay, our base for the night by about 4pm, and some of the crew took a tender to shore, to explore a little and have a swim. As the tender took us back to shore, we were gifted with a beautiful sunset, settling over the ridges of the island.
