After a slow start we left Manly Harbour as we were all waiting for the fireman who had to do his annual check-up. The fittings were changed which caused extra delay.
We kept the motor running to gain a little extra speed to make up for some of the time we lost. We arrived ready to anchor at Moreton Island before dark. Dinner was ready but some found sitting below eating as the ship rocked and rolled made them feel ill.
Awesome day, sailing and learning the ropes; crew has been very helpful. Must make special mention of our cook Louise who has been serving up excellent meals. Under way is a gas. At anchor a bigger challenge.
