FROM: Manly To: Manly

DATE: 28 April 2025

POSITION: King Island, Waterloo Bay

REPORT: White Watch

We caught a bus from Robina to Cleveland and we set sail around 10am. We got told of our watch groups and learnt the times that we would be assigned on. Once below the deck, we found our beds and got our things organised.

We then found our assigned life jackets and learnt how to put them on and were given a safety briefing.

We were introduced to meals on the boat, as our first meal of lunch was fresh salad rolls followed by chicken drumsticks with rice for dinner and vegetables with desert of apple pie.

Throughout the day, we did a lot of tacking as we got used to it, with our fastest group tacking time of 4 minutes and 45 seconds. We also participated in the knot tying competition and got the best time compared to the other watch groups; which proves white watch is superior and the best.

We did some bearings as it came into night time, and we are going to sleep in the hopes of much fishing and good sailing tomorrow.
