VOYAGE NUMBER:  20250421

FROM: Gladstone To: Manly

DATE: 25 April 2025

POSITION: Tangalooma

REPORT: Blue Watch

5:30 wake up for Anzac service at 5:45 gathered around the helm for the service. The girls played beautifully on the bugle. After a minute of silence, we sung the Australian and New Zealand anthem in honour of the fallen. We thought it was a beautiful memento to the soldiers, especially as some of the crew members had family members who were part of the war.
After that we prepped and raised the sails, where we began our full day journey of sailing. We had a clove hitch competition between the watches which was a great way to show good natured competitiveness between everyone on the ship. The waves became very vicious that day but remained very fun, as it was a thrilling experience being harnessed to the edge of the ship when on the helm when steering the boat while on a massive tilt.
We had a lovely butter chicken for dinner, and a scrumptious cheesecake for dessert, and prepared for bed. We continued to sail through the night and docked around 1am, a restful day was rewarded the day after.
During the early morning / very late shift we noticed that there was beautiful bioluminescence in the water, which glistened like stars which was very fitting as we had a perfect view of the Milky Way under the starlit skies.
