CLIENT: Our Lady of the Southern Cross College Dalby
VOYAGE NUMBER: 20241104
FROM: Manly To: Manly
DATE: 05 November 2024
POSITION: Horseshoe Bay, Peel Is
REPORT: Red Watch
Today on South Passage red watch had duty at 12:00am. We checked the compass to make sure the anchor hadn’t moved and filled out our journey books. After cold breakfast we participated in a knotting competition, with a reef knot by each watch member being completed in 1 minute and 8 seconds. After hot breakfast we competed in the back stay competition.
After the backstay competition we hoisted the sails and set off for Horseshoe Bay at Peel Island. Matthew was feeling sick, so we used team work to check that he was okay, making sure he was in the shade with water. Luckily, after a sleep on the hammock at the front of the ship he was feeling better.
When we anchored at Peel Island, we lowered the sails and went for a swim, jumping off the ship and trying to kiss the mermaid at the front of the ship. We had dinner and checked the ship was secure before the storm came. Mia, Ava, Hazel, Tyler, Matthew and Miss Boon
