CLIENT: Townsville Grammar School
VOYAGE NUMBER: 20240724
FROM: Townsville To: Townsville
DATE: 24 July 2024
POSITION: West Point, Magnetic Is
REPORT: White Watch
Today was the first day of our voyage, meeting after school at the marina and waving off our families at 5:00pm. We were sorted into three watch groups, Red, White and Blue, in which we will be spending the majority of the voyage.
After dropping off our bags below deck and getting a quick safety briefing, we set sail for Magnetic Island, where we have currently dropped anchor. I haven’t gotten seasick yet, but that’s not for lack of the boat trying. It’s also cold, which wouldn’t be a problem except for the 16 km/h winds. It’s okay though, it’s warm below deck, and the sunset was really pretty.
My watch group filled out the log for tonight, checking the barometer and the ships position. The energy on the boat right now is really feeling good, we’ve got board games, sour patch kids, and a game of roulette. Chloe
