FROM: Cairns To: Townsville

DATE: 1 July 2024

POSITION: Dunk Is

REPORT: Blue Watch

Today we woke up and had a knot competition, we won obviously because it was the figure of 8 knot, and we are the best at it. We had breakfast and headed over to a fishing boat to help us get rid of the rubbish and replenish our clean water. Once this was finished, we set up the sails. Today we worked on the mainsails and did an amazing job because we have the best team. Once finished, we headed out of Mourilyan Harbour and toward Kent Island, where we jumped off the ship and were challenged to climb the insanely slippery bobstay and kiss the mermaid.

After some Mexican burritos for lunch, we got on the dingy and went to shore. Kent Island had a coral beach where we went snorkelling, the coral was some of the best we’ve seen. We then headed back to the ship, re-hoisted the mainsail and headed off to our final destination, Dunk Island. We arrived around 5.30, took down the mainsail and had a lovely stir fry chicken with rice for dinner, created by our lovely chef Hughey.
