CLIENT: Bronze Youth Voyage
VOYAGE NUMBER: 20220110
FROM: Manly to Manly
DATE: 11 January 2022
POSITION: Peel Is
REPORT BY: White Watch
Today we had a blast. We awoke to the rustling of the sails under the morning breeze. Sunlight flickered through the tinted windows and the boat rocked gently following the ebb and flow of the tide.
Morning duties included, polishing the brass objects around the helm that had tarnished over time. Following the completion of the task Aaron carried out the boat tradition of playing the bugle, awaking the rest of the voyagers.
We had a brief breakfast before we embarked on our inflatable boat to Moreton Island and the Tangalooma wrecks. We enjoyed the morning running up and down sand dunes, exploring the extensive marine life and enjoying time with our fellow voyagers.
It was great getting to know some of the guys more in our group even though we had not known each-other for long. Mark our watch leader was instrumental in assisting with knot tying and improving not only our speed but technique.
