CLIENT: Sydney to Brisbane Public Voyage

VOYAGE NUMBER:  20190110

FROM: Sydney To: Manly

DATE: 15 January 2019

POSITION: Blakesley’s Anchorage, Moreton Bay

REPORT BY: Red Watch

We started our morning with a 4-8am watch. We passed Cape Byron at approximately at 4:07. Then it wasn’t long until we were seeing the beautiful sunrise at 6:10. In our watch we tacked once but other than that we had a pretty cruisy morning. Breakfast for the Red Watch was served at 8am and it was spaghetti and hash browns, which was enjoyed by all.

Our next watch started at 12pm so we were free to relax between the watches. In this time to relax some of us played cards, had a sleep or even relaxed on the deck. We entered the Southport Seaway at around 11am and sailed until we reached South Stradbroke Island where we anchored and all had lunch, which was hamburgers.

We all got off to have a swim on the beach and have an ice cream. Then we were off again and Red Watch were on duty. During out watch we had to navigate the ship between red and green buoys and all the boats that were on the seaway. Our shift ended at 2:30pm and we were back to relaxing.

Dinner was served at 5:30 and it was chicken, rice and stir fry veggies. At 6pm we reached Blakesley’s Anchorage, North Stradbroke Island, which is where we are going to be anchored for the night. Our watch is 8pm till 12am and in pairs everyone has to do one hour.
