CLIENT: Gold Youth Voyage

VOYAGE NUMBER:  20240103

FROM: Sydney To: Brisbane

DATE: 7 January 2024

POSITION: Coffs Harbour

REPORT: White Watch

Today we awoke at 7:00 instead of 6:30. White Watch had a night sail shift from 12:00am–4:00am as we were sailing throughout the night. Luckily there was HOT CHOCOLATE & BISCUITS! The sky was dotted with twinkling stars and the water was shimmering with bioluminescent zooplankton. Even though it rained a few times, spirits were high. For first breakfast, there was cereal and fruit. For second breakfast it was PANCAKES! They were delicious! Thank you, Louise, for being such a good cook during the voyage. During the day, there was a pod of dolphins jumping and doing tricks next to South Passage. White Watch had another watch during the day from 10:00-12:00.

For lunch it was pasta and garlic bread! For dinner it was bangers and mash, and for dessert it was peaches and custard. After dinner, we got to go ashore to Coffs Harbour for a few hours for a bit of freedom. Some people got ice-cream and others went for a walk. We had to get back before 8:30 as we had to do the log for today. White Watch was supposed to do another watch during the night but, the Skipper said that it was off. We are halfway through the voyage now! Overall, today was a fun day.
