CLIENT: Gold Youth Voyage

VOYAGE NUMBER:  20240103

FROM: Sydney To: Brisbane

DATE: 6 January 2024

POSITION: en route to Coffs Harbour

REPORT: Blue Watch

We were woken by the bugle at 6:30am. We all had first breakfast and then had a knot tying competition for the bowline. We then had second breakfast which was bacon and eggs!

The then hoisted all the sails and sailed from Port Stevens to Broughton Island. After a few hours of sailing, and multiple dolphin sightings, we arrived and all had lunch which was amazing burritos. We then all went to the shore and went for a walk around the island. We then went swimming at the beach and then jumped off the ship. We were all coaching in encouraging each other to climb up the bobstay to kiss the mermaid.

We then had to hoist the sails again for a full 24 hours of sailing. After lifting the anchor twice, hoisting the sails twice and lowering them once in one day, we were all tired and had lots of naps during the day.

We then had dinner which was chicken drumsticks, rice and gravy.  We all had to get good sleep for our watch from 4am to 8am the next day. P.s. Happy Birthday Mum!! Xoxo (Love Louisa)
