South Passage Daily Report

CLIENT: St Josephs College

VOYAGE NUMBER:  20180514

FROM: Hervey Bay TO: Hervey Bay

DATE: 14 May 2018

POSITION: McKenzies Jetty

REPORT BY: Blue Watch

The early brisk start at 5am out the front of St Joseph’s College, Toowoomba was a shock to our teenage sleeping patterns. However the weather warmed and the sky turned blue as the sun rose over the hills of Crow’s Nest. We arrived in Hervey Bay at 10.15 to a beautiful clear sunny day. When we arrived at the ship, we boarded with excitement to smiling faces and welcoming crew.

Once we set sail we quickly learned the ropes – pun intended – and by the end of the day we were skilled amateur sailors who could tack the ship with ease. We all look forward enviously to the coming days as the sun is to continue – touch wood – and our experience and skill at Sailing as well. Watch out all mariners who are within Hervey Bay and Fraser Island over the coming days as St Joseph’s College, group 4 is taking control of South Passage on Wednesday.
