South Passage Daily Report

CLIENT: Townsville Grammar School

VOYAGE NUMBER:  20190724

FROM: Townsville To: Townsville

DATE: 26 July 2019

POSITION: Lucinda

REPORT BY: White Watch

We woke up at Pioneer Bay at 0630 by the bugle and had a cold and warm breakfast. After all the chores were completed such as cleaning the heads and washing up dishes, we all jumped off the boat and had a swim. Some of us even got to kiss the mermaid. Once we were all dry all watches hoisted the sail and we set off to Shepard’s Bay (northern point of Hinchinbrook Island). Everyone then made it to shore by sailing masters tender where the game of rugby began. Just under two hours later we were back on deck motoring to Lucida under blue watch. Red watch finally anchored at 2330 while the other two watches were fast asleep. A further highlight of our day was winning the figure of eight knot tying competition and second in the reef knot comp, putting us in first overall!
