VOYAGE NUMBER: 20170306
FROM: Manly TO: Manly
DATE: 7 March 2017
POSITION: Blakesleys, North Stradbroke Island
Report by: Blue Watch
The day began with very light SE winds which increased as the day went on and reached more than 25 knots by the time South Passage anchorage.
This morning we left port, heading towards Peel Island running into trouble on the way as we forgot to bring the hamburgers. We turned around and made our way back to the port were they took the dinghy out and left to get the burgers. We stayed and jumped off the boat and all swam around until the dinghy came back to the boat. We then left and started travelling towards Stradbroke as we all did watch duty, on our watch duty we prepared for a tack. Everyone stood by and waited for the water to splash up hoping they would get wet. The boat would tip to the side and make everyone feel like they were going to fall over which was quite funny. It was extremely hard to walk when the boat had tipped to one side.
