We left school in the southern highlands at 7:30 and drove to Sydney, one and a half hours. When we got here we thought we were running late but the ship wasn’t here, so our teacher Miss Edwards called the South Passage crew and were informed that our trip was not scheduled to leave until 10:25 am.
We boarded the ship and were introduced to everyone which was followed up by safety procedures and an introduction to raising the jib and the staysail. We sailed to Store Beach were we anchored and dropped the sails. We then swam and Tiko kissed the mermaid. We had a knot tying competition which was then followed up by dinner.
