VOYAGE NUMBER: 20231126
FROM: Manly To: Sydney
DATE: 30 November 2023
POSITION: Coffs Harbour
REPORT: Blue Watch
Sailed through the night, starting from roughly the Queensland to New South Wales border around midnight, we had sailed from the Gold Coast on Tuesday afternoon. The sailing was non-stop, and a majority of participants were sea-sick due to the rough ocean waves and thunderstorms.
This journey persisted until we had a swim at North Solitary Island. Water was warm and refreshing, we did not go to shore due to environmental concerns as the island is home to a bird sanctuary.
Our arrival at Coffs Harbour was in the afternoon and tied up at the marina at the fisherman’s wharf. We enjoyed the best dinner in human society and following that most participants left the boat to explore the harbour, including a treat of ice cream for all the men. Then we walked around nearby attractions as the sun was beginning to set. We slept on the ship at the marina and waited to sail again until the next day. Coopa, Ruby and Scout
