VOYAGE NUMBER:  20230825

FROM: Hervey Bay to Hervey Bay

DATE: 25 August 2023

POSITION: McKenzies Jetty, Fraser Is

REPORT: White Watch

We began the day with a bussin brekkie, we learned a knot; the round turn and two half hitches. We raised the mainsail, caught some wind and found ourselves on an island (K’gari). We splashed around at McKenzie’s Jetty, looking for the highland. To get there we tacked down the channel past Big Woody Is (and Little Woody).

We dropped the sail, followed a trail, bashed some bushes and discovered Z-Forces Secret Site. We saw a big grave and some rusty vehicles, walked back, swam, thrashed everybody in markers’ up. We saw dolphins, a turtle and a dead crab which we pulled apart. We caught a dinghy, we did some knots… and won (white ftw).

We had some delicious meals (cold brekkie, hot brekkie, rolls, chicken and veggies, and desert too (apple pie)). All in all, it was good, and I’ve water in my shoe.
