South Passage Daily Report

CLIENT: Daring Flotilla

VOYAGE NUMBER:  20230512

FROM: Hervey Bay

DATE: 13 May 2023

POSITION: Kingfisher Bay, Fraser Is

REPORT: Red Watch

The voyage started off with an exciting storm to foreshadow the future dim weather outlook. However, the crew and the ship are amazing and are great to be around I have learned so much and am ready for my next adventure.

The ship left the harbour when the rain stopped, and we set out for an adventure that would stay with us for years. Raising the foresail and tacking are amazing and exhilarating, I love being a part of a team and helping wherever I can. The rain died down for the rest of the night as we went to bed after an amazing day.

Saturday was filled with fun adventures as the rain was not bad and manageable. The hoisting of the sails and taking the helm was quite an experience as feeling the ship tip from one side to the other almost at a 45-degree angle is an experience like no other. The ship rocking from side to side meant that you leaned over and we felt like Michael Jackson. The overall experience is one I would do again any day.
