South Passage Daily Report

CLIENT: Flexi Schools

FROM: Manly  TO: Hervey Bay

DATE: Day 3, 22 September 2016  TIME: 2030 hrs

POSITION: Coongul Point, Fraser Island

Report by: Red Watch

As the morning sun rose, it was an early start for Kayla and Makayla getting up at 5am. We made sure we were still secure on our anchorage. All was good. At 6am, we woke up Red Watch team to polish the brass, bell and bugle ready for 6:30am wakeup bugle call of all.

Once we raised the sails and the day watch took over then we crawled out on the bowsprit and had some awesome sail time.

After a couple of hours it was time for lunch, Kayla was soo hungry she made an effort to pack her lovely burrito to the top of her bowl not knowing how to wrap one. The lunch went everywhere –  it was the funniest thing to see.

After the lovely lunch we, the red team, were back on watch. There was a lot of traffic in the Great Sandy Straits. However with the safety red team at hand, South Passage got though nice and safely.

With South Passage team all keen for a swim, we headed for North White Cliffs. With all the South Passage crew in the water, we had some mighty swimmers who tried to kiss the mermaid but only a couple could do the task.

After we all had a swim we raised the sails and headed to Moon Point where we had another knot competition with red watch coming in last. It did not make a difference but RED WATCH CAN TIE KNOTS WITH OUR FEET AND TOES.

With the small group we have on South Passage we are sure to make and have the best time out of this trip. Thanks for reading but time for red watch to sleep. Peace to our readers!
